Hi, my name is Bobby Coates, I have been entertaining since the late 70's and have, over the years, gained a wealth of experience in playing music to every age group and at all types of function
I enjoy working with my audience (rather than just playing
music)
and encourage their participation in what for them should be a memorable
event.
I am the former Secretary and a Presenter with Radio Heartbeat - Scotland's Premier hospital broadcasting station
I have always felt that visually a disco should fill the stage with a cascade of lighting - therefore I use both traditional Lighting Boxes and Modern Lighting Effects.
My sound system is clear and powerful, providing sound that is able to fill the room and is pleasant to the ear.
I only use quality equipment for both the sound provision and the lighting
All equipment is tested for safety (See Equipment )
If appropriate, I have several Puppets to add to the fun - you haven't lived life to the full until you have met the singing dogs or my stunning Venezuelan Bird
Radio Clyde's George Bowie - "King of Breakfast Radio" has said that I have the disco with livestock (shown opposite)
George Bowie has also commented positively on both the quality of the equipment and my style of presentation ( we regularly work together and some of the more recent pictures can be seen in the Photo Gallery )
I have a large selection of Hats and Masks and during the function theses can be passed out to add to the enjoyment (YMCA really comes alive when you have your own "Village People" live on stage)
I am able to arrange for lots of other fun accessories for your party, from Balloons or a Cartoonist to a Ceilidh Band or a Piper
If required I can advise you on quality Buffets and put you in touch with caterers which I am confident to recommend
I am lucky to have a close circle of friends who help me with the preparation of the evenings entertainment - my son Robert, Young Paul and Big Paul - who can only be described as Paul the Big - TA!
